In the midst of creating her RTW collections and being tapped to design the GB uniforms for the 2012 Olympic Games, Stella McCartney has managed to come up with another great sportswear idea in collaboration with Adidas.
As we enter the Fall/Winter 2010 season, McCartney is introducing glow-in-the-dark running gear that ranges from hoodies, tees and shorts, to sneakers. The designer is a master at fusing stylish and feminine fashions with Adidas' technologies for the ultimate performance apparel for women. And in an effort to diffuse any signs of masculinity in the new collection, the looks will feature figure-hugging pieces and leopard prints.
According to McCartney, "Running is one of our most popular categories and for me to make it have its own point of view is really key. I think that we did it this season in a direct way by looking at glow-in-the-dark. When you are running in an urban environment, you need to feel safe, when people can see you coming and stand out, especially in winter when it gets dark earlier."
In addition to the glowing gear, expect to see sleek and sexy offerings in the Wintersports range and Gym Studio collection from the designer. For now, here are some of the glow-in-the-dark running looks. And you can visit ShopAdidas.com for these styles:
