Just as U.S. marathoner, Khalid Khannouchi, is on the comeback trail after a foot injury halted his career, the New Balance 205 sneakers are looking to make a comeback as well.
New Balance is bringing back the 205 racing shoe, which was named for Khalid Khannouchi. Khalid wore the sneaker during some of the fastest marathons in history. The 205's helped him set a world record of 2:04:42 in the Chicago Marathon in 1999 and helped him better his time in the 2002 London Marathon to 2:05:38, which still stands as an American record.
The lightweight racing shoes are known for being exceptionally comfortable and equally as effective. They feature New Balance's most advanced running technology which helps to cushion the heel. And whether your an avid runner like Khalid or looking to become one with Summer just around the corner, New Balance knows runners, so be sure to check these out.
From a
design standpoint, the 205’s feature the sleek, simple and retro look that is
iconic to the New Balance brand, but with a very unique color palette, which includes an interesting and cool mix of orange, red and green hues. The 205
sneaker will be available in the two colorways seen below, beginning this
Spring.
