Fashion and football have merged yet again as menswear designer, Joseph Abboud, has taken on a very tall order: he's going to be dressing Giants.
JA Apparel, the maker of Joseph Abboud suits, has become an official partner to the New York Giants football team, for designer clothing. This three-year deal and marketing collaboration is said to be the largest between a menswear company and a pro football team.
The partnership is ideal, as Abboud is no stranger to outfitting top athletes. The brand already dresses NFL commentators and coaches, including Giants head coach, Tom Coughlin.
In return for making the Giants some of the best-dressed guys in the NFL, JA will benefit from access to the Giants players and the team's fan base, as well as a brand new $1.4 billion stadium. The brand will also have a dedicated Joseph Abboud luxury suite at the stadium and pregame display of advertising on all suite monitors.
No new designs have been revealed as of yet, but there will be a kick-off event at the stadium later this year, including past and present players and coaches. Football stars walking the runway? This is going to be good.
